Police Identify Body Found Hanging in Wooded Area

Police are conducting a death investigation after a body was found hanging from a tree in Union Springs over the weekend.

Union Springs Police say the body of 35-year old Sergio Diaz was found hanging from a deer stand in a wooded area within the city limits. The Union Springs Herald says Diaz’s body was found Sunday on a property between Southern Springs Health Care and Rehab and Hicks Industrial Road.

Police spent several hours investigating the area.
