Seven Tigers named NCEA Academic All-Americans
AUBURN, Ala. (auburntigers.com) – Seven members of the Auburn equestrian team were placed on the NCEA Academic All-America team, including five on the first team, the National Collegiate Equestrian Association announced. The annual honor roll was also named with 12 Auburn student-athletes placed on the list.
Seniors Elizabeth Benson, Allie Dusha, Griffin Knight and Hannah Loseke and junior Tory Hoft were placed on the Beval Saddlery Academic first team. Senior Hailey Munger and junior Hannah Stephens were honorable mention honorees.
To earn first team accolades, a student-athlete must have competed in a minimum of 70 percent of their school’s meets, not including demo or exhibition rides, while earning a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and maintaining full-time enrollment in the previous spring and fall semesters, respectively. Honorable mention must have competed in a minimum of 50 percent of their school’s meets and have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Caroline Becker, Benson, Claire Connaghan, Dusha, Hoft, Margaret Hurt, Morgan Kleis, Knight, Loseke, Hannah Marco, Morgan McQuay and Abby Wagner represented Auburn on La Hacienda Academic Honor Roll. The NCEA honor awards the top academic student-athletes who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.25 while maintaining full time enrollment in the previous spring and fall semesters, respectively.
