Biscuits jump Lookouts 6-1
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AlabamaNews.Net) — The Montgomery Biscuits improved to a 12-8 record after Thursday night’s 6-1 win over the Chattanooga Lookouts.
Montgomery came out swinging in the first inning, plating four runs off Lookouts starter D.J. Baxendale, who was tagged with his third loss of the season.
Kean Wong drove in the Biscuits’ first run, doubling lead-off hitter Johnny Field home. Wong also hit a solo home run in the second inning, his second round-tripper of the season.
Chih-Wei Hu earned his first win of the season, to accompany a sparkling 0.64 ERA.
Montgomery will wrap up their five game series in Chattanooga Monday before opening a five game homestand versus Birmingham Wednesday at Riverwalk Stadium.
