Update: MPD Investigates Two Overnight Shootings; One Shooting Fatal

At about 11:05 p.m. on April 27, MPD responded to the 3200 block of Virginia Pines Lane on a call of a subject shot. An adult male was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. The injuries proved to be fatal as he was pronounced dead Thursday morning.

There is no one in custody.

At about 10:30 p.m. on April 27, MPD responded to the 3800 block of Smiley Court on a call of a subject shot. An adult female was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

There is no one in custody.
