Fallen Alabama Police Officers Honored

fallenEveryday, police officers put their lives on the line to protect and serve their communities.  Every year, hundreds of police officers nationwide lose their lives.

Four law enforcement officers who died in Alabama during the past year were honored a ceremony at the state capitol on Friday.

The Fraternal Order of Police held the memorial service. Among those honored was Montgomery Police Officer, David Colley.  Colley died in a car crash while responding to a call.

Sergeant Charles Kerry Mitchum – Loxley Police Department

Patrolman Roger O’Dell –  Town Creek Police Department

Lieutenant Richard Glenn Woods – Pell City Police Department

Officer David Lee Colley – Montgomery Police Department
