An infrastructure announcement in Dallas County could help attract some high-tech businesses and high paying jobs to the area.

South Dallas Industrial Park has now been certified AT&T Fiber Ready.

The designation means the fiber infrastructure is in place to help recruit more industry to the park by making it a more attractive location for businesses.

“Hopefully this will help the economic developers in this area be more competitive and bring more companies and more jobs.”

South Dallas is the first industrial park in the Black Belt to achieve the designation.
