Choice Bus Sets Example for Charles Henderson Middle School Students

Administrators at Charles Henderson Middle School are giving students and eye-opening experience when it comes to their futures.

Students got a first hand look at how life would be if they dropped out of school, using the Mattie C. Foundation’s Choice Bus. The foundation focuses on reducing the drop out rate and the bus included a prison cell as an example of bad choices. Faculty say the Choice Bus is the perfect tool for students to commit to making good decisions when it comes to staying in school.

“It just draws the connection between school because they are on a school bus-what they see everyday, what they get on and then to open up and see the jail cell in the back of it, it just draws that line of connection even more,” Will Garner.

The Choice Bus has visited millions of students across the country.
