Small Business Development Week continues in Pike County.
But larger businesses are also being recognized. Lockheed Martin and KW Plastics were two of several recognized by chamber members and Jim Byard of the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs. Business leaders say large businesses have a big impact on Troy’s economy. KW Plastics employs 300 people and processes 500 million pounds of products annually.
“We just don’t consider that 300 people but 300 families and we would not be here if it wasn’t possible for our liberal government in their support and our local community support,” says Stephanie Baker of KW Plastics.
Thurdsy, there will be a tour of KW Plastics for Pike County’s Business Development Week starting at 10 am.
