City of Troy Honors Fallen Officers
Dozens of people gathered for the City of Troy’s Police Memorial Ceremony Wednesday.
Officers and city leaders honored several fallen officers of the department. A wreath was placed at two memorial markers, one at the the Troy Police Department and another at Bicentennial Park in Troy. Family members say officers pay a great sacrifice everyday in uniform and deserve continued support from their community.
“You get an understanding of the type of situations that they have to deal with on a daily basis and you always hope and pray that you don’t get that call,” says Kassie O’Hara.
This is the 38th year of the Troy Police Department’s Memorial Day Ceremony.
