Child Dies after Being Hit by Car

On Friday, May 20 at approximately 1:30p.m. the Coosa County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from Liveoak Lane in the Stewartville Community. The caller stated that a small child had been hit by a vehicle at a residence.

Emergency personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene. Sylacauga Ambulance Service transported the child to Coosa Valley Medical Center. Upon arrival at the hospital the child was pronounced dead. The Coosa County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of Alabama State Troopers began a Death Investigation in regards to the case.
