Woman Accused of Setting Fire to Her Mother’s House
A 51-year-old woman has been accused of setting fire to her mother’s house while the woman was still inside.
Montgomery Fire and Rescue spokesman Sgt. O.J. Whiting says that 51-year-old Mary Marie Caldwell was arrested and charged with first-degree arson on Tuesday.
Authorities say Caldwell set the rear of her mother’s house on fire Monday night, causing “moderate damage.” There were no injuries.
It is unclear whether Caldwell has an attorney.
