ASU announces Summer Cheerleading Clinic, Camp
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (bamastatesports.com)–Alabama State University’s award-winning cheerleaders are set to host a Youth Cheer Clinic and a Summer Cheer Camp for area youth this summer.
The Youth Cheer Clinic will be held May 31 to June 3 from 6-8 p.m. at Lockhart Gymnasium.
Youth, ages 4 to 18, will have an opportunity to meet and interact with the ASU cheerleaders during the clinic. Participants will learn instructional cheers and dance in groups based on their age.
The Summer Cheer Camp is for junior high and high school squads only. The camp will be held June 4-5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lockhart Gymnasium.
In addition to meeting and interacting with ASU cheerleaders, participants will learn technique, instructional cheers, stunts and dance.
Both summer events will culminate with a showcase on the final day for family and friends.
The cost for each event is $50 per person, which includes the clinic or camp, T-shirt and snacks. The deadline for registration for both the clinic and camp has been extended to Friday, May 27.
