Youth Leadership Students React to Alabama Leaders
Hundreds of high school students from across the state sharpened their skills at Troy University for the weekend.
It was all part of the Hugh O’ Brian Leadership Conference. Students learn how to work well with others and participate in service projects. As leaders of tomorrow, students say they believe in morals in all leadership positions. They say when it comes to ethics and remaining controversy free, some leaders in Alabama have let them down.
“Even if they don’t fully personally believe it and if I don’t personally believe it-but I do. I would want people to see that I uphold that and I uphold myself to a certain standard,” says Caroline Coleman.
The conference wraps up Sunday with students learning from speakers exactly how they can further impact their communities.
