YMCA Offers Summer Programs to Keep Youth Engaged
Summertime can mean idle hands for many children now that school is out, but the YMCA of Greater Montgomery is hoping to change that.
The YMCA has several summer camp programs taking from now until the start of the new school year. One program is taking place at the Goodtimes YMCA on Bell Road. It’s a daily camp designed to offer kids from ages 5 to 14 to do various activities from learning how to swim to improving their reading skills.
It’s all done is a safe environment with a trained staff designed to give your child a great alternative to slouching on the couch.
“The mission of the YMCA is to put Judaeo Christian principals through programs that are health for mind, body and spirit for all”, says Lara Lewis with the YMCA.
Besides the camp taking place at the Goodtimes YMCA, there are several more throughout the region.
