Teachers Learn from AG in the Classroom
Roughly 90 teachers from across the state made a trip to Montgomery learning about life on a farm.
It was part of the Alabama AG in the Classroom Summer Institute sponsored the Alabama Farmers Federation. Teachers spent time at the Eat South urban farm in downtown Montgomery.
What the teachers learned about farm, including panting and farm animals, they in turn will teach to students in kindergarten through sixth grade.
Extension specialists with the Soil & Water Conservation District were also there to share their knowledge with the teachers.
