Pike County Authorities Investigating Vandalism
Vandals strike in Pike County leaving two buildings with significant damage.
The first incident happened at a voting location off Highway 223 and the second at Pleasant Hill Church. Thanks to video from the church, authorities say they have an idea of who the suspect is that caused $800 worth of damage. Nothing was stolen at the voting location, but authorities are still searching for who is responsible.
“There were rocks thrown through the windows. All of the windows were busted out. There was damage to the siding of the building. There was also damage to the inside of the building where it busted paneling with the rocks,” says Pike County Sheriff Russell Thomas.
If you have any information on the vandalism at the county’s voting precinct, you are asked to call the Pike County Sheriff’s Department at 566-4347.
