AUM’s Moody Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Baseball Team
AUSTIN, Texas (aumathletics.com) — Auburn Montgomery senior pitcher Raymond Moody was recently selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District baseball team for his efforts on the field and in the classroom.
The teams were selected by College Sports Information Directors of America members. To be eligible for recognition, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 and have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at their institution.
Moody graduated from AUM with a degree in accounting this Spring, sporting a perfect 4.0 grade point average. He was selected a NAIA Scholar Athlete and earned All-Academic honors from the Southern States Athletic Conference this past season.
On the field, the Greenville, Ala., native posted a 9-1 record with a 4.08 earned run average. He tossed a team-best 88 1/3 innings, striking out 63 and allowing opponents to hit just .287. He threw three complete games on the year, including a three-hit, nine-inning complete game against Martin Methodist. A First-Team All-SSAC selection, Moody finished 6-0 with a 2.72 ERA in conference games.
