Bullock County Authorities Investigate Heroin and Meth Found at Courthouse

Bullock County Authorities are investigating drugs found at the Bullock County Courthouse.

Officials say 160 grams of heroin and 50 grams of meth were found in a women’s restroom of the courthouse. 27-year-old Jimmie Sims an inmate at the Bullock County Jail found the drugs. Authorities say Sims failed to report it to officers and took a portion of the drugs back to the jail. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance and promoting prison contraband.

“The inmate was cleaning the women’s restroom. As he emptied the trash from the trash bag container underneath the trash bag that’s where the drugs were found,” says Chief Anthony Williams  of the Bullock County Sheriff’s Dept.

Authorities are still looking for the person responsible for placing the drugs at the courthouse.
