Montgomery Auburn Club’s 2016 Scholarship Golf Tourney ready to tee up

MONTGOMERY, AL (montgomeryauburnclub.com) – The Montgomery Auburn Club (MAC) will host their 19th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament at Wynlakes Country Club on Monday, June 13, 2016. Proceeds will fund Auburn University scholarships for students from Montgomery County. Former Auburn athletes (Kendall Simmons, Chris Todd, Lee Zeimba and Davis Hooper confirmed) will be on hand to visit with players.

“We’re really excited about this year’s scholarship golf tournament,” said Mark Moody, MAC Board President. “With proceeds from the generous support of our sponsors, we are opening a window of opportunity for a student from our area to attend Auburn. That makes all the work worthwhile.”

The 2016 prize package includes gift certificates to local restaurants and The Wynlakes Golf Shop, 4 tickets to the 2017 Capital City Classic from the Montgomery Biscuits, and more. The most significant prize opportunity in this year’s tournament will be for players making a hole-in-one on a selected hole.

Successful hole-in-one achievers will drive away with a brand new automobile from Stivers Ford Lincoln.

Incentives are granted to title, 9-hole flag, individual hole and tee sponsors, including paid entries into the tournament, golf shirts, signage and continued recognition on our Club website and in other MAC publications.
Individual players or organized teams can also participate for $175.00 per player.

Sponsorships are not tax-deductible donations, but may qualify as business advertising expenses. Companies should check with their accountants to determine tax-deductible eligibility.

“In addition to raising funds for Auburn scholarships, the annual golf tournament always proves to be a day of fun and bonding with others who support Auburn University and higher education for area students,” continued Moody. “We hope businesses and individuals will help support this important cause. The educational and career path of a deserving youth from this area depends on it.”
