The Heat and Scattered Storms Continue
Chances remain high for scattered afternoon thunderstorms over the next couple of days. We will also have to deal with the heat and humidity. High temperatures could vary quite a bit tomorrow due to the chance for thunderstorms. Locations that don’t see rain until later in the afternoon will reach the mid 90s, but some places may only top out in the lower 90s if they see rain earlier in the day. We may see another heat advisory issued tomorrow for the afternoon heat index values which could exceed 105. I expect a high of 97 tomorrow for Montgomery. More afternoon thunderstorms will cover part of the area on Monday afternoon, and otherwise will be another hot day to start off your workweek with a high of 96. Rain chances remain possible as we head into the middle of the week, and afternoon high temperatures will be in the mid 90s. Overnight temperatures for the period will be in the mid 70s, and it will feel quite humid. Rain chances could increase again as we head into next weekend, with highs still in the mid 90s.
