More Storms on Monday
Storms covered much of the area again today, as highs topped out in the mid-90s. If you didn’t see rain today, there’s a good chance you could see some tomorrow afternoon as storms fire up across the area in the afternoon once again. We will see the storms weaken and dissipate as we head into the evening hours tomorrow, but there could still be some across the area for the evening rush hour. Temperatures will again reach the mid-90s on your Monday, with heat index values above 100. Rain chances will diminish as we head through the workweek, dropping to about 30% each day. The heat will definitely be sticking around, with temperatures reaching the mid-90s each afternoon this week. We could even see temperatures creeping towards the upper 90s towards the end of the work week. Next weekend will be hot as well, afternoon highs will hold in the mid-90s with the chance for thunderstorms, particularly on Saturday. Rain chances diminish next Monday as we enter what looks to be a drier weather pattern.
