Alabama Capitol to be Lit in Blue to Honor Law Enforcement
The Alabama Capitol will be illuminated in blue this week to honor law enforcement officers across the country.
Gov. Robert Bentley made the announcement Monday. Gunmen in separate instances killed three law enforcement officers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. And five in Dallas, Texas.
Bentley in a statement said he was, “troubled and truly heartbroken to hear of yet another act of senseless violence.”
The illumination will begin Monday night and last through Friday night.
