Local Reaction to Melania Trump’s Speech
Mrs. Trump took the podium Monday evening. While her speech received a lot of applause, it was the words she chose that got the critics' attention.
There’s lots of backlash over Melania Trump possibly plagiarizing First Lady Michelle Obama’s speech after she addressed the Republican National Convention Monday night.
There were several lines in the speech that seemed to be word for word what the First Lady said in her 2008 speech.
We wanted to know what some of you thought about it.
We got mixed reactions. Some believe she did plagiarize.
Denise Williams  says, “yeah, I saw the little exerts from the speeches and yeah, she did. Maybe she didn’t do it intentionally. But it was done. Whoever writes her speeches need to be more careful.”
Others think it’s funny.
“I think its hilarious who she plagiarized off of… You know, I mean seriously,” said another person.
