Montgomery Prepares for Big Horseshoe Tournament

It’s been a busy week in Montgomery with the All Star week games, but another sport will take over the Capitol City next week. The city prepared 58 courts and 118 pitts in the Multiplex at the Cramton Bowl. Everything had to be shipped to the city, including the clay for the pitts, which came from Kentucky. In order to bring the event to Montgomery officials competed against three other states. For event organizers they say when it came to choosing Montgomery it was a perfect fit.

There will be over 900 competitors from across the country, as well as across the globe, traveling from as far as Canada and Switzerland. The winner of the tournament receives $4,200. The Tournament starts Monday morning at 8:00 A.M.
