Flowers weighs in on Impact of VP Candidates

Now that we know the running mates of both candidates, what kind of impact will they have on their respective tickets?

It was a chaotic week of news headlines coming out of the Republican National Convention.
From Donald Trump’s wife Melania’s speech being possibly plagiarized to Ted Cruz not endorsing Trump.

However, Political analyst Steve Flowers says one of the good points of the convention was Donald Trump naming Indiana Governor Mike Pence as his running mate.

“Mike Pence is a good, solid mid-Western Republican American. He’s got strong Christian values. He’s got 12 years of Congress where he exuded those values and voted that way. But Pence is solid and Pence came across as very genuine,” said Flowers.

Flowers says this could help solidify Indiana as a red state for Trump.
As for Hillary Clinton… she may turn the swing state of Virginia blue.
She chose Virginia Senator Tim Kaine as her VP.
Flowers says it is an excellent choice there, as well.
And it could make all the difference for both candidates.

“Historically, it has not mattered about the VP choice, however in this case this has been a unique year and I think the choice by Trump and by Clinton of Kaine, makes this a very wise choice,” said Flowers.
