Leonard & Marjama shelved to DL; Rays promote new Biscuits
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (biscuitsbaseball.com) – The Tampa Bay Rays have announced that INF Patrick Leonard (back) and C Mike Marjama (quad) have been placed on the 7-day Disabled List, with Leonard retroactive to July 19 and Marjama retroactive to July 21.
Leonard, 23, started experiencing back spasms last week and has not played since July 13 away at Jackson. Marjama, 27, injured his quad beating out an infield single on a run down to first on July 20 at Birmingham.
The Rays also announced that C Josh Rapacz has been transferred from SS-A Hudson Valley to the Biscuits, and that INF Pat Blair has also been transferred to the Biscuits from R+ Princeton.
The Biscuits active roster is currently at 25.
