August is Clean Up Month for Montgomery District 5 Residents

AP_11101202367August has been designated District 5 Clean Up Month and July is Clean Up Month for District 4.  Residents can take advantage of special garbage and trash removal service during this time only.

The City’s Sanitation Department will remove nearly all items placed behind the curb on your regular trash pick-up day – including up to 2 tires – without extra charge, except for loose leaves, dirt, building materials and tree branches exceeding four feet in length or eight inches diameter.

The Montgomery Clean City Commission will provide trash bags to groups organizing cleanups during our 2016 Great American Cleanup.

Montgomery City Council members, the Sanitation Department and the Clean City Commission remind residents that now is the time to cut down, trim back, clean up and throw away.
