Higher Rain Chances for the Weekend

FINALLY FRIDAY We are seeing a weakness in the upper ridge across the Deep South which is allowing many of us in Alabama to have better rain chances today and for the near forecast as well. For the last day of the work week, expect the sky to be partly cloudy across South/Central Alabama, with scattered showers and storms from time to time. Afternoon highs will be in the lower to mid 90s.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: More of the same as we wrap up the month of July. Decent rain chances will continue and the forecast is for more scattered showers and storms both Saturday and Sunday. We should see a more clouds than sun and afternoon highs will range from the the lower to mid 90s. Certainly no washouts this weekend, but know that you may have to dodge some raindrops along the way.

ROLLING INTO AUGUST: We end July this weekend and head into August on Monday. The first half of the week looks to stay unsettled with the daily threat of storms and highs ranging from 92-96 degrees. Later next week, the upper ridge looks to strengthen and expand east back into the Southeast. We should see showers and storms go from scattered to more isolated in nature and temperatures will return to the mid and perhaps upper 90s late next week.
