August Heat !
A moist air mass sits across the region for the start of the work week. Daytime heating will continue to ignite showers and t-storms each afternoon. Some storms will be strong and possibly severe at times. Main threats will be strong winds 50+ mph, frequent lightning, and small hail. Where storms don’t occur, you can expect hot and humid conditions to persist. Afternoon high temps will top out in the mid to upper 90s. Looks like this weather pattern will hang around through the work week.
