Business Fire Causing Delays on HWY 331

A business fire that happened around 4 am is causing traffic delays on highway 331. It happened near the Patsaliga Creek Bridge in Luverne, Ala. The Southbound lane is currently open. The area near the bridge will be blocked for the next several hours. Drivers are advised to take alternate routes.

The fire started in the back of the building where the roof collapsed. Back up was called from around the county where around 8 fire teams are working on containing the fire. Luverne’s assistant police chief says it’s the “biggest thing we’ve had in 5 years.”
