Tuskegee Football finishes day 4 of Fall camp with drills

TUSKEGEE, Ala. (goldentigersports.com) — A day after losing the final 45 minutes of practice to Mother Nature, the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers were able to get their entire two-hour workout in before the storms moved into the area Sunday evening.

The Golden Tigers lined up for one-on-one drills for the first time in camp, with both sides of the ball winning the battles throughout. During the drills, the interior line on both sides of the ball went against each other.

During the drills, a pair of preseason all-conference picks – Darius Holmes (defense) and Desmond Reece (receiver) – went head to head; while on the offensive side of the ball, six current or former all-conference picks went head-to-head.

The team worked on individual drills during the first few stages of practice, all while getting conditioning in before working on group work. The practice concluded with the team coming together for the final 20 minutes of practice for work.

Tuskegee will continue fall camp until the beginning of school on August 18, gearing up for the season opener on the road at Clark Atlanta. Kick off time for the season opener is 7 pm (eastern) and the game will be carried on the American Sports Network.

Season tickets are on sale in the Ticket Office by calling (334) 727-8594 or (334) 724-4385. Tickets are also on sale in the ticket office, and online via Ticketmaster, for the 5th Quarter Classic.
