Chance for rain increases
Our hot and humid weather pattern remains in place. 90 plus degree high temps with heat indices reaching the triple digit mark. Sca’td showers and t-storms will take the heat down in spots. It’s looking like we may see an increase in t-storm activity for the latter half of the work week and into the weekend. High pressure to our east weakens and allows a front to move closer to the state. This front will help kick off more afternoon showers and t-storms. The front could make it all the way through our area by Monday afternoon. If this happens, we could feel a little drier air working into the area Tuesday. Anytime you can get the humidity down this time of the year, it’s a good thing.
