Program Provides Soldiers a Chance at Employment
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is giving veterans and future soldiers an opportunity to get a job after serving time in the military. It’s called Partnership for Youth Success started by the United States Army. The program is designed to prepare, train, and connect soldiers to future employers. Soldiers are guaranteed an interview once they’ve completed reserve training or first term of service. Montgomery county sheriff’s is the first in the southeast to take part in the program. The U.S. Army hopes to add more private and public sector jobs to the program in the coming weeks.
