Tallassee Hosts Food/Supply Drive for Baton Rouge Flood Victims

annmaptalladega.jpgOn Thursday, August 25th from 7 am – 11 am, the city of Tallassee will be collecting items for the Flood Victims in Louisiana.

Members of the Tallassee Police Department, city officials, Tallassee City School Employees and more will be accepting donations at the Tallassee Recreation Center from 7 am until 11 am.

You can drive through the parking lot with your donations and someone will come to your car to pick up. You don’t even have to leave your car. Stop by on your way to work and drop off your donation.

Donations will gladly be accepted later, but you will have to take them in.

All donations will be shipped to United Way of Southeast Louisiana.

Here is a list of items we will be accepting:

  • Nonperishable food items,
  • buckets, bleach,
  • cleaning detergent,
  • mops,
  • Shockwave for mold,
  • mops,
  • brooms,
  • paper towels,
  • large garbage bags,
  • rubber gloves,masks,
  • scrub brushes,
  • scouring pads,
  • sponges,
  • air freshener,
  • toiletries,
  • hand sanitizer,
  • shampoo,
  • conditioner,
  • bar soap,
  • hand soap,
  • adult diapers,
  • disposable razors,
  • shaving cream,
  • toilet paper,
  • diapers for babies,
  • baby wipes,
  • baby food,
  • baby formula,
  • sippy cups and bottles,
  • pet cages,
  • kennels,
  • leashes, collars,
  • pet food,
  • cat litter,
  • bottled water
  • school supplies.
