Drier Weather Pattern Ahead

We head into midweek with our chance for rain increasing. A disturbance will move westward across the state on Wednesday. This system will generate scat’d showers and t-storms especially west of the I-65 corridor. High pressure will build down into the area on Thursday. We go back into a hot and drier weather pattern for several days. Temps will be topping out in the mid 90s each afternoon. Fortunately, humidity levels will be down a bit so it won’t feel quite and bad. Mean while, the tropics are getting very active. Looks like a tropic wave east of the Lesser Antilles is going to be monitored closely the next few days. Some of the forecast model data is suggesting this system could be a threat to the southeast U.S. Not sure if it will get into the gulf but one reliable model is bringing into the gulf next week. We will just have to watch with interest and you posted.
