RHP Chase Whitley transferred to Biscuits; LHP Jordan Harrison to DL
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (biscuitsbaseball.com) – The Tampa Bay Rays have announced that RHP Chase Whitley (elbow) has been returned from his rehab assignment, activated from the 60-day Disabled List, and optioned to Montgomery. Whitley, a former New York Yankee, has made four starts for the Biscuits in 2016 and gone 1-0 with a 2.00 ERA, striking out 19 in 18 innings of work.
The Rays also announced that LHP Jordan Harrison has been placed on the the 7-day Disabled List, retroactive to August 21.
The Biscuits active roster is currently at 25.
