Capri Host’s 14th Annual Montgomery Black Film Festival
It’s a special weekend at the Capri theater as the Montgomery Black Film Festival continues today.
This is the 14th year for the festival. The free event is showcasing movies like Nothing But A Man and Woodlawn.
Once the screenings wrapped up, they hosted post film discussions with staff from Alabama state university. The festival’s founder wants to add even more movies next year.
“This is our 14th annual and we plan on having a 15th and taking it on, taking it on making it bigger and bigger. This year we inspired someone else to have film festival on Sunday that’s free and we hope to make it an official three days next year,” said Joseph Trimble, Founder of Black Film Festival.
About 150 people have come by throughout the weekend.
