Orrville Man Sets Himself on Fire During Family Dispute
From the West Alabama Newsroom–
An Orrville man is fighting for his life after a family dispute ends in tragedy.
Sheriff Harris Huffman says 19 year old Aaron Tower was in the process of torching his cousin’s car yesterday evening when he accidentally set himself on fire.
“Two individuals went to that residence and actually poured gasoline on the vehicle,” said Huffman. “And when he went to light it with a lighter it exploded and caught him on fire as well as the car.”
Huffman says Tower was burned over forty percent of his body. He says the incident was part of an ongoing family feud.
Mickie Dell Butler is Tower’s cousin and the owner of the car that was set on fire.
“I hope my cousin going to be alright and everything, and I hope in the end we can resolve all this stuff,” said Butler.
Huffman said the incident remains is under investigation and charges will be filed.
