ASU’s Lewis tabbed as SWAC’s POTW

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (bamastatesports.com)  –  Alabama State’s Ariela Lewis has been recognized by the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) as the Offensive Soccer Player of the Week for her outstanding performance in competition during the week of August 30-September 4.

Lewis scored in three consecutive games this week with goals at Troy on Tuesday, at Jacksonville on Friday and at North Florida on Sunday to become the SWAC’s leading scorer.

She is currently one assist shy of becoming the fourth active player in Division 1 women’s soccer to reach the 30-20 club for goals and assists in their careers.

Lewis now has 31 career goals and 19 assists.
