Roland Cooper State Park Boosts Tourism and Taxes in Wilcox Co.
From the West Alabama Newsroom–
Roland Cooper State Park in Camden is now reopen after being closed by the state for nearly a year and county leaders there couldn’t be happier.
County leaders say having the park open improves the quality of life for residents.
They say it also helps boost tourism in the area.
Arizona-based Recreation Resource Management company is now managing the park.
“The tradition of the state park is so much in our community,” said County Commission Chairman John Moton.
“The recreation, fishing and tourism and tax dollars is so important to Wilcox County, so we’re just excited to have that park back open,” he said.
