Students Show Appreciation For “Back the Blue”
Dozier Elementary Students welcomed Montgomery Police Officers for “Back the Blue”, a campaign held by “Hands On River Region”. Several students made signs, cards, and posters as a way to show how much they appreciate the work of police officers.
“A lot of kids don’t understand that everyday they go out and try to help us. They help us everyday, and a lot of them have died because of it, but they’re trying to help us,” said Dozier 5th grader Addison Ledbetter.
Hands on River Region says it has more than 3,000 people signed up to support the campaign.
