Rain Chances Return

It was another hot day across the river region, but we did see a few isolated showers in the area. Showers will begin to dwindle in coverage after sunset. Temperatures tonight will fall into the lower 70s, a little warmer than the last several nights have been. A cold front will approach from the northwest this evening, and make it into the river region by tomorrow afternoon. This will give us better chances for rain Sunday, with scattered showers and storms likely. It looks like these storms will dissipate by the evening hours, and it will still be hot tomorrow with temperatures topping out in the lower to mid 90s in the afternoon.

The front will linger in the area on Monday, and will likely stall out just south of the I-85 corridor. This means we will not get much in the way of cooler air, and we will continue to see higher humidity across the area. We will also continue to see better rain chances on Monday, with scattered storms dotting the area Monday afternoon. For the rest of the week, rain chances will be more of the isolated to widely scattered summertime variety. Afternoon highs will be in the lower to mid 90s while overnight lows drop into the lower 70s.
