Pike County Restaurant Granted Beer License
A Pike County restaurant now has their beer license after being denied in July.
Co-owners of the Smokin Skillet Cafe were granted their license by the ABC Board. The decision comes two months after the county commission denied the license and also after members of the Hamilton Crossroads Church of Christ voiced their concerns about safety. Co-owner Andrew Clark presented a petition to the commission in July with nearly 100 signatures but was still denied.
“People are entitled to voice their opinions, that doesn’t necessarily mean that they are always right though and I think the board’s decision on this matter proves that,” says Clark.
Clark says the restaurant is expected to open in the next month.
