Another Record Day of Heat
We hit another record high in Montgomery this afternoon, topping out at 98 degrees just after 1pm today. Fortunately we will see this heat come to an end sooner rather than later, but Sunday looks to be another very hot September day. Tonight, any storms still around the area will fizzle out, and we will be left with mostly clear skies. Overnight lows for the river region will be in the low 70s. We will start off Sunday with clear skies, and isolated storms will be possible again once we get into the afternoon hours. Afternoon highs will be in the mid 90s.
Rain chances will ramp up for Monday and Tuesday ahead of a cold front. The front should make it through here sometime on Tuesday, which will help bring us towards more seasonable temperatures. From Wednesday through the end of the week, we get our first taste of Fall with highs in the mid 80s and overnight lows potentially dropping into the upper 50s.
