MPD Search for Drive-Thru Carjacking Suspects
On Thursday, September 22, at approximately 9:20 p.m. a Montgomery resident was parked in the drive thru at Popeyes of Ann Street getting ready to order. She didn’t know but the two individuals were in waiting, preparing to rob her.
Video released by the Montgomery Police Department captures the two suspects laughing on the other side of the restaurant.
Shortly after, one of the suspects runs to the driver’s side door and places a handgun in the face of the victim demanding that she exit her vehicle. The second suspect runs and jumps into the driver’s seat while the other gets into the rear as he drives off leaving the victim stranded.
The vehicle was later located abandoned in the area of Ryan Street and Plum Street, a few blocks over from the restaurant.
The suspects were described as being young male adults between the ages of 17-20.
