Fall Tourism Season Set to Kickoff in Selma

WAL FALLTOURISM VOFrom the West Alabama Newsroom–

The annual fall tourism season is about to kickoff in the Selma and Dallas County area next week.

More than a dozen events are on tap over the next few weeks and they’re expected to draw thousands of people into the city.

Tourism Director Landon Nichols says the bigger the crowds, the bigger the potential affect on the local economy.

“Tourism has a massive impact on our economy,” said Nichols. “As you know we have a relatively low household income so every job we can create and every dollar we can bring into Selma and Dallas County is a huge resource to us.”
