Selma Non-Profit Puts Spotlight on Domestic Violence

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and a Selma non-profit holds a candlelight vigil Thursday night to help spread the word.

SABRA Sanctuary is a non-profit organization that helps victims of domestic violence get away from their abusive relationship.

The shelter hosted a candlelight vigil to honor victims and survivors of domestic violence and raise awareness.

“We just want to let people know that SABRA Sanctuary is here to help all victims of domestic violence, men, women, children and we want you to call us when you need help,” said Executive Director Nancy Travis.
