Annual Tale Tellin’ Festival Underway in Selma

CarnealFrom the West Alabama Newsroom– The 38th Annual Kathryn Tucker Windham Alabama Tale-Tellin’ Festival is underway in downtown Selma.

The two-day festival blends music, song and dance, and the art of story-telling.

Organizers say the hilarious hillbilly, Mama Whaples, Norton Dill and champion liar, Pat Nease headline this year’s line up of storytellers.

They say the festival is an event the whole family can enjoy.

“It’s just a wonderful venue to have something different, to get a laugh, maybe to cry a little bit you know, depending on what they tell. Its just, its just fun. it’s a fun evening out for the entire family,” said festival chair Beth Wilson.

The Tale Tellin’ Festival runs through Saturday.
