Cooler Weather is on the Horizon
Showers were the story for a good portion of the river region this morning. Rain fell in Montgomery for the first time since September 18th. By the late afternoon, much of the shower activity came to an end. Temperatures tonight will be in the lower to mid 70s through about the 10pm hour, then falling into the upper 60s after that. I expect we will stay dry overnight tonight, and temperatures will fall into the lower 60s and upper 50s across the river region. Tomorrow will be mostly sunny and warmer, and I don’t think we will see any rain across the river region. Temperatures top out in the upper 80s. We will stay warm and dry through Thursday, with temperatures near the 90 degree mark each day. Overnight lows through Thursday will be in the lower 60s. Thursday night into Friday looks like the time for arrival of our next cold front. Ahead of the front, we will have decent rain chances, mostly likely during the overnight hours of Thursday into Friday. High temperatures will be much cooler after the front moves through, with temperatures on Friday and Saturday likely only topping out in the mid 70s. Looks like we will get plenty of sunshine by next weekend to go along with the much more seasonable weather.
