Golden Tigers stay 10th in D2football.com poll

LIBERTY, Mo. (goldentigersports.com) —  After a bye week for Tuskegee University, the Golden Tigers remain 10th in this week’s edition of the D2football.com poll. The top 16 teams in the poll remained the same in this week’s poll.

Tuskegee (6-0) returns to action this weekend against Kentucky State at home inside Cleve L. Abbott Memorial Alumni Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1 pm for the Homecoming contest.

The Golden Tigers are one of five teams from Super Region 2 ranked in this week’s poll. They are behind North Alabama (third) and ahead of Valdosta State (16th), UNC Pembroke (23rd) and Florida Tech (24th).

The top five remain the same from last week with defending national champion Northwest Missouri State coming in at the top spot, followed by Grand Valley State, North Alabama, Shepherd and MIdwestern State. The next five include Sioux Falls at sixth, Emporia State, Ashland, Texas A&M-Commerce and Tuskegee.

The next 10 include California (Pa.), Harding, Indiana (Pa.), Minnesota Duluth, Central Missouri, Valdosta State, Henderson State, LIU-Post, Azusa Pacific and Bemidji State. The top 25 is rounded out by Ferris State, Wayne State, UNC Pembroke (unranked last week), Florida Tech (unranked last week) and Fairmont State (unranked last week).
